My Best Friend

Stereo blasting in the car.

Coming home from the local bar.

Singing as loud as we possibly can.

I always was your biggest fan.

Cutlets frying up just right.

With ketchup spread on every bite.

Or to the basement for a show.

Why is it that you had to go?

Washing our cars in the front together.

Looking forward to warmer weather.

To ride the jet skis across the Bay.

Now those days have all gone away.

The faucets dripped for cats to play.

A new adventure everyday.

With the Monster let loose on the lawn.

Then in a flash those days are gone.

Those late night talks with one another.

Without the blood you were my brother.

I didn't want to say good-bye.

My friend, my pal, my guy.
